Who needs a maid when you have a 16-month-old

Riley turned 16 months old last Saturday and is acting more like a toddler than ever.  I should add that we already pretty much need a "timeout" location/chair/whatever.  Not sure the age they grasp that concept, but she has more than once looked at me straight in the face and did once again whatever it was that I had already told her repeatedly not to do.  The pathetic thing is that I still can't help but laugh when she does it.  I would imagine that will change soon!

Even with the minor recent setback of our molars coming in, she's going going going.  This includes housework...

Feeding and taking our babies for a walk...

Practicing getting our food to our mouth...

And making guns out of my mascara and makeup brush.  I'm soo not kidding.  She makes a "PSHHH" sound when she shoots them.  I guess that's what we get for being friends with little boys at daycare!

Another thing she positively loves is my Jock Jams CD from high school.  She points at the stereo in our room which prompts us to turn Dick Vitale on.

15 months

So I'm totally not even going to blog about Alaska.  Sorry, it was just way too amazing and I'm just too lazy and overwhelmed to give it justice on here.  All of my photos are uploaded to a Walmart album and are captioned, have at it! ;)

Miss Riley turned 15 months while cruising in the Pacific Ocean.  Not too many people can say that.  When we returned from our trip, she had her 15-month checkup where she weighed in at 26 lbs. (95th percentile) and was 32" long (75th percentile).  They say you come back from a cruise 5 lbs. heavier, well it appears more than one of us did.  Sheesh.

A few things she's up to:

She comes by her strength naturally.

She's starting to like girly things, like purses and bracelets.  Uh oh, Chad.

I didn't think anything was worth reading in that magazine either, Riley.

It's the little things.  Like vacuums.

Our two favorite activities right now are waving...
(at the Dodge City Days parade)

and dancing.

We did meet a new friend on the cruise, her name was Haley.  Haley had a different dance style than Riley.  Maybe Riley was asking her for pointers?  If that was the case, then she definitely got "the hand".  Haley wasn't about to give out her secrets.
